Asa Ghaffar
Asa graduated from Aston University in 1996 with a BSc in Managerial and Administrative Studies (Honours). Although I specialized in law and was offered a place at Birmingham Law School on the Legal Practice Course (LPC), I chose to pursue a career in personal finance. Despite being UK-based, I've gone on to develop a keen interest and understanding of American consumer finance.
I've worked professionally as an account and wealth manager for several leading financial institutions, including Charles Schwab, Lloyds TSB and the Bradford and Bingley. I hold a Financial Planning Certificate (FPC) for stage 1, 2 and 3 and have considerable practical experience with loan approval, secured lending, fraud prevention, bad credit repair, stock trading and debt management relief solutions.
I currently work as a professional writer, and am keen to pass on my knowledge and understanding to my readers. I know how the industry operates and dislike the way customers are treated by some of the banks. It has become my mission to address this imbalance and help people to get the fair deal they deserve.
